Before you begin

You need a site and line selected in the Dashboard scope menu.

Filter downtime events

These filters apply across all four tabs described below:

  1. Open Downtime Event Analysis.
  2. Choose a Time Window: Last Shift, Day, 24hr, Week, Month, Qtr, Year, or Custom. Selecting Custom shows a date range picker.
  3. Choose a Machine to narrow the results, or leave it set to All Machines.
  4. Choose a Category to narrow the results, or leave it set to All Categories.

Spot a pattern in Overview

The Overview tab shows a heat map of downtime minutes with machines as rows and hours of the day as columns, so you can see at a glance which machine and time of day account for the most downtime. Select a machine's name to jump to the Reasons tab already focused on that machine.

Find a machine's reasons in Reasons

The Reasons tab shows the same kind of heat map, but broken down by downtime reason for one selected machine instead of by machine. Choose a different machine from Reason Heatmap Machine to switch which machine you're looking at.

Rank reasons in Codes

The Codes tab lists every downtime reason for the current filters, ranked by total time, with each reason's event count, total time, average time, and share of total downtime. Use the filters panel to hide reasons below a minimum event count or duration. Select a row to plot that reason's downtime by hour of day; see use chart controls for how to read and zoom that chart.

Inspect individual events in Explorer

The Explorer tab lists individual downtime events in a sortable table. An event without a recorded end time is still open and ongoing. Select the view icon on a row to see that event's full detail, including its notes. Select Export to download the currently filtered events as a CSV file.
